The masters at Wudang Mountain Kung Fu Academy are good people and know how to adjust the training to suit your body and requirements, I will definitely continue to do some of the basic training exercises, Tai Chi and standing meditation when I return home.

Accommodation

My room had a large comfortable double bed and a good ensure with shower, Western toilet and sink. Bring your own towels and toiletries. As the school is on top of a mountain, there was sometime issue with water, but these was resolved quickly. The WIFI works, but international students should install on a SIM before they travel to ensure smooth internet access in China.

Food

The food is freshly cared and tasty. Breakfast is usually noodles, rice or bread with vegetables, so you may wish to bring your own protein to add to that. Lunch and dinner always include fish, meat, tofu or egg along with vegetables and a carbohydrate. Boiled water is available in the school and fresh drinkable water can be collected from a nearby wall.

Training

It is a joy to exercise outdoors in the fresh air, surrounded by the beauty of nature. The training is tough on a stiff and unfit body and I had a lot of aches and pains. To avoid this, I suggest you work on your fitness and flexibility before you arrive. Adaptations were made to suit my ability and my fitness improved dung my stay here. I will definitely continue to do some of the basic training exercises, Tai Chi and standing meditation when I return home.

Master

The teachers are good people and know how to adjust the training to suit your body and requirements. I learned a lot that I will take forward with me in mg life, but l regret that l did not study Mandarin in advance in order to be able to learn more and also to be able to communicate better with the Chinese students.
