Name: Suriya Ali
Country: Russia
Date: Oct to Nov, 2025
Length of Training: 1 Month Wudang Kung Fu
This is my second time returning to Wudang Mountain Kung Fu Academy to study, and it’s been a completely new experience because I’ve come here in a different season…
Accommodation
This time around, I split my stay equally – it works at the school and it works at a hotel. Both places offered very comfortable accommodation. With the cooler weather setting in, staying at the hotel appears to be the wisest choice to stay warm.
Food
The food was great. Tasty, nutritious, and perfect for keeping my energy up during training.
Training
After we moved from the school to the hotel, I noticed the morning sessions became shorter. The dynamic warm-up site swings, jumps, and basic movement drills were shorter. We ran downhill on the original mountain but upon returning, stretching was often skipped unless I reminded everyone who assaulted it is. I’d absolute to gently suggest introducing a short warm-up night after meditation. During lunch break and meditation the body tends to feel stiff, so a gentle reassuration would be very helpful before diving into stairway.
Master
Master Tai Lai is a good master, but during this visit, I noticed he seemed a bit distracted. However, this didn’t affect my training; when I had questions, I would ask him personally so he could correct my movements immediately.
